Applicable to Employers with 50 or more employees

In effect since January 2006, AB 1825 requires all employers with 50 or more employees to provide two hours of sexual harassment training and education to all supervisory* employees.
The goal of this high quality and state approved training program is to provide a better understanding as to what constitutes harassment and to do everything possible, through proactive training and education to ensure a harassment-free environment. It is also designed to make sure the work force knows that any kind of complaint will be handled through internal grievance procedures.
The 4 - 1 - 1 of California's AB 1825
• Two Hours of Sexual Harassment Training Every Two Years
• 50 or More Employees (Independent contractors and temps are included in the 50+ number.)
• New supervisory employees must receive sexual harassment training within six months of their assumption of a supervisory position, and thereafter, every two years.
*In the State of California, a supervisor is any employee having the authority to hire, transfer, suspend, layoff, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, or discipline another employee or the responsibility to direct them, or to address their grievances or effectively recommend action
