Instructor—JT Parnell
JT is an EHS Professional for Boretti, Inc. and has been employed with them for just over a year. He handles a diverse group of clients across many industries including: manufacturing/industrial, medical, education, food processing, wheat and grain, consumer product safety and plastic extrusion. He has been in the safety industry for 6 years and worked as the Director of Safety & Health for a construction company prior to coming aboard with Boretti, Inc. J.T received a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health from Columbia Southern University in 2010 and is currently progressing through the Master’s Program, in Occupational Safety & Health, with an anticipated graduation of June, 2012. After receiving his Master’s Degree, J.T plans on studying for and sitting for the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation. J.T is also very active with the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) and is currently serving as the Vice-President of the Central Valley Chapter for the 2011-2012 fiscal year. He is also the President-elect for the Central Valley Chapter and will be holding the position of Chapter President for the 2012-2013 fiscal year.

OSHA FACTS:
More than 13,000 US workers are injured annually in confined space accidents. 5,000 of those are serious injuries. About 60 will die.
